Florida Rules for USAG PREP
Optional
Florida Prep Optional program is a recreational, non-mobility
level open to all USAG
registered athletes 6 years of age.
The Florida program is set up and administered by the Florida USAG
Committee. The committee sets
up qualifying procedures to State meet, entry regulations, format,
difficulty rules. Each State is
responsible to design the program for the benefit of their State. If you
attend competitions out of State, please check with Meet Director for rules
that will be used for PO level as they will be different. All Florida clubs
that offer PO will use Florida PO rules as determined by the USAG Florida
State committee.
USAG Florida offers a State
Championship for Florida PO athletes.
Qualification for Florida PO
State Procedures
All competitions must be USAG sanctioned
Level 7/8 Judges or higher must be used—2 judges per event required
Athletes must compete at Florida competitions & must use Florida rules to
qualify to the Florida State Championship (out of state scores may not be
used)
Florida State Qualifying Score to be determined by Florida Committee each season

Program
All elements must be listed in the JO Code of Points—Execution deductions
per JO rules
All events except vault require a minimum of 3 “A” (0.10) and 1 “B”(0.30)
Skill value parts
“C” elements from any category = 2.00 deduction
“D” or “E” elements will void the routine as of June 2008

0.50 deduction for missing Special Requirements (SR)
VAULT
All Vaults from Group 1 with or without twist, valued at 9.4 or less
All Vaults have a 10.00 Start Value with deductions the same as Level 7
UNEVEN BARS
Six(6) elements - must be
listed in the JO code
One Bar Change
Minimum of “A” dismount from JO
code
O.50 deduction for missing SR
BEAM
Turn on one (1) foot (minimum of 180 degrees—1/2 turn) * 1/2 turn will not
satisfy A value part requirement
Dance or Mixed Series of at least 2 elements from JO code
Acrobatic (tumbling) element with or without flight from JO code
Time Maximum: 1 minute
Minimum of “A” dismount from JO code
warning at 50 seconds

Overtime deduction .10

FLOOR
Two (2) Acrobatic (Tumbling) Series each with a minimum of two(2) elements
from JO code with flight
The passes may be the same or

A Salto or aerial element from the JO code

Dance Series with two(2) elements from the JO code

Time: 45 seconds to 1:30
warning at 1:20
